Learning For Life is a class that is designed to prepare students for independent living. In addition to our academic subjects, instruction will be provided in the following areas: personal management, community awareness, job skills, careers, and daily living skills. Each student’s IEP goals will be addressed within the context of these instructional areas.
10th grade Learning for Life students will be administered an Alternative Maryland State Assessment. This is a 6 month long portfolio process, whereby the student demonstrates mastery in reading, mathematics, and biology objectives aligned with the Maryland State curriculum and content standards.
